Smart Border Austria: Zolli Develops Driver App for Rolling Corridor

After one month of Smart Border Austria in live operation and several hundred trips, we have developed a dedicated Driver App for the SBR – Rolling Corridor EXIT process.

One of the practical challenges in live operation is reliably determining the actual arrival of the vehicle in Vorarlberg. Our approach is deliberately simple: the driver confirms their arrival directly via the Driver App.

The solution is already integrated into our Smart Border platform and supports the operational execution of the SBR process.

However, this is not intended to remain an isolated solution. We are ready to share our approach with other Smart Border software providers and to develop it further together.

On October 21, 2026, we will discuss our experience from live operation and this approach at the information event for Smart Border software producers in Wolfurt with the Austrian BMF and other software providers.
