Careers at Zolli
Zolli executes Swiss Passar customs workflows autonomously — from operational data to the final assessment decision. We are an official participant in the BAZG's Passar 2.0 import pilot, and we are looking for people who want to rebuild customs rather than administer it.
Why Zolli
Our declarations go to the BAZG for real shipments, with everything that entails.
We have been working on the import pilot with the BAZG's support since June 2026, in phase 2 since August 2026.
No layers in between: you own your area from day one.
Zolli is a product of KikoSpace AG, based in Glarus.
How we work together
The format is negotiable, the contribution is not. A consulting mandate, employment, or a stake as a shareholder — we shape the role around what fits you and what creates value for the company. Tell us how you want to work.

Commercial
Head of Sales & Business Development — DACH

- Open conversations with shippers, importers, exporters and customs brokers, and qualify their declaration volumes
- Run demos and guide the free parallel-run pilot all the way into production
- Negotiate pilot and framework agreements together with the founders
- Establish a repeatable sales process: CRM, forecasting, pricing logic
- Feed structured market signal back into product and engineering
- Several years in B2B sales of explanation-heavy software or logistics services in the DACH market
- A track record of closing with mid-sized or large shippers or forwarders
- Willingness to prospect yourself in an early-stage startup rather than inherit a team
- An understanding of customs, logistics or supply-chain processes — or the ability to build it fast
- Fluent German and English; French a plus
Customs Operations & Customer Success Lead
You own day-to-day customs operations for our customers: the declarations Zolli files, the exceptions a human decides, and the customers who rely on both.
- Operational ownership of the export, import and transit declarations running through Zolli
- Review and release the cases the system escalates for a human decision
- Onboard new customers: data connection, master data, classification logic, parallel-run comparison
- Be the first contact for questions on declarations, eVV, PAEAD/PAIAD and corrections
- Build operating routines, checklists and quality metrics
- Translate recurring failure patterns into concrete product requirements
- Solid hands-on experience in Swiss customs clearance, ideally at a customs broker or in an export/import department
- Confident with Passar/ePortal, tariff classification and proofs of origin
- Precision and calm when a declaration is stuck at the border
- A drive to automate work rather than repeat it
- Fluent German, good English; French or Italian a plus
Expansion & Corporate
Legal, Customs & IP Lead
You secure the legal ground under a company that files customs declarations autonomously — customs law, data protection, and the protection of our own technology.
- Legal framing of the autonomous customs process: representation, liability, duties of care
- Contracts with customers, partners and suppliers (pilot, framework, SaaS and data-processing agreements)
- Data protection under revDSG and GDPR for customs, invoice and shipment data
- Build and maintain the IP portfolio: trademarks, filings, open-source compliance
- Work with the BAZG and outside counsel on regulatory questions
- Set up internal policies for a growing operation
- Legal qualification (CH or EU) with experience in customs, trade or technology law
- Hands-on contract negotiation and data-protection practice; IP experience a plus
- Pragmatism: name the risk and still show a workable path
- Fluent German and English
Head of Strategic Partnerships & Fundraising
You open the doors that let Zolli scale: ERP and logistics partners, industry bodies, funding agencies and investors.
- Build partnerships with ERP, TMS and logistics software vendors as well as forwarding networks
- Prepare and run funding rounds: story, data room, investor pipeline
- Maintain relationships with Innosuisse, funding programmes and strategic investors
- Structure the partner ecosystem: commercial terms, enablement, joint go-to-market plans
- Prepare board and investor updates together with the founders
- Experience in business development, corporate development or a venture environment
- A track record of closed partnerships or funding rounds
- Credibility in front of executive teams and investors
- A network in the Swiss tech or logistics scene is a plus
- Fluent German and English
Market & Industry
Head of Marketing & Growth
You make Zolli visible in a market that is being redrawn right now — with content customs professionals take seriously and channels that produce measurable pipeline.
- Own positioning, the website and multilingual content (DE/EN/FR/IT)
- SEO and GEO: content that ranks on Google and gets cited in AI answers
- Build demand generation: campaigns, LinkedIn, trade media, events
- Run and analyse the lead paths (demo, pilot, the free tariff-number tool)
- Work with sales on messaging, sales collateral and conversion
- B2B marketing experience with explanation-heavy products, ideally SaaS or logistics
- Demonstrable results in SEO/content and in performance channels
- Hands-on: you write, test and measure yourself
- Native-level German writing, confident English
Customs Industry & Regulatory Affairs Lead
You are our voice towards the BAZG, the Austrian authorities, industry bodies and the trade — and our early-warning system for everything that changes in Passar, in Swiss customs law and around Smart Border Austria.
- Track and assess regulatory developments around Passar, DaziT and customs law
- Follow the Austrian side too: Smart Border Austria, admissions and process changes in Swiss–Austrian traffic
- Represent Zolli in working groups (including AG SW Passar), associations and industry bodies
- Coordinate with the BAZG on pilot phases, interfaces and admissions
- Translate regulatory requirements into concrete product and process requirements
- Own the factual quality of our content (website, glossary, customer communication)
- Deep understanding of Swiss customs and the Passar rollout
- A network in authorities, associations or among customs brokers; exposure to Swiss–Austrian traffic is a plus
- Experience in regulatory affairs, compliance or association work
- Fluent German, good English; French a plus
Technology & AI
AI / Machine Learning Engineer — Explainable Customs AI
You build the models and pipelines that turn invoices, delivery notes and ERP data into a defensible customs declaration — and that can justify every decision they make.
- Develop and operate the classification and extraction models (LLM-based, combined with structured rules)
- Explainability: every classification with a rationale, a source and a confidence
- Evaluation pipelines and datasets that make quality measurable instead of anecdotal
- Improve accuracy, latency and cost per declaration
- Work closely with the customs team on failure patterns and edge cases
- Strong Python and hands-on experience with modern LLM stacks (RAG, tool use, structured outputs, evals)
- Experience with information extraction or classification in production systems
- Judgement for when a model is the right answer and when a rule is
- No customs knowledge required — curiosity about it is
- Confident English, German a plus
DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
You keep the platform that files customs declarations for real shipments stable, secure and auditable.
- Run and evolve our cloud infrastructure: CI/CD, deployments, monitoring, alerting
- Security and compliance: secrets, access, data residency in Switzerland/EU, audit trails
- Reliable, repeatable integrations with ePortal/BAZG interfaces and customer systems
- Observability: logs, traces and metrics that resolve an incident in minutes
- Cost and performance optimisation
- Experience operating production cloud systems (containers, infrastructure as code, CI/CD)
- Confident with observability stacks and incident handling
- Security as a default posture, not a checklist
- Confident English, German a plus
